Hotel Levadia

There are two wings, but only one has been renovated. I stayed in an older room on a high floor, facing away from the main street. The bathroom was very small, and the mattresses and furniture ought to be replaced. The older section should be renovated too. The room was clean and comfortable, Wi-Fi was very good, and the rates were reasonable. The location was excellent, and the staff were helpful, especially Thodoros at the front desk.

Clean room, good location, great hotel 👍

We got a renovated room for the standard room price. It was clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast included international dishes like eggs and bacon, plus traditional Greek biscuits. The staff were nice and welcoming, and parking is a few minutes' walk from the hotel. Very good value for money.

The hotel is easy to get around from, feels safe, and has plenty of restaurant choices nearby. Breakfast is served 7-10 am on the ground floor in a nice-looking area beside reception. The staff are friendly and will work to solve problems. It is the best hotel in Levadia after all, but I personally deeply hate the heat pump and square toilet, and those design choices aren't the best. We booked a modern room, not an old one, and arrived on a Sunday when it was 39°C. At check-in we were given a key for a room that hadn't been cleaned and had unmade sheets. We went back to reception and got another key for another room. The cooling is a heat pump, not AC. You can't set the room temperature because it's controlled centrally and set to 26°C in summer. We were sweating, and it took at least 10 minutes for the system to have a cooling effect. Once it kicked in, we had no problem at all, including through the night. It's just a different kind of HVAC from the AC we're used to. The square toilet is awkward to use, especially for men. The sliding bathroom door runs on caster wheels that haven't been lubed in a very long time, and my wife couldn't open or close it by herself. At 5 am on July 25 there was no hot water for the shower, so we had to take a cold one. Again, the heat pump is to blame.
