Aridas at the Beach

The location is the only decent thing here. It's okay if you don't plan to drive, but with a hire car you'd probably visit this beach once and head to better ones. There was an ant infestation, with ants all over the floor and bed. The internet advertised as 25mps barely reached 5mps at best and was usually unavailable. That may not matter on holiday, but it made work difficult. I had to use my phone by a window to hotspot my laptop. There were no basic supplies despite what the listing said: no shampoo, just two tiny hand soaps for the whole stay, no dish soap or sponge for cooking, and no beach towels. We were given a hot, stuffy room with no way to turn on the AC, then told it cost an extra 8 euro per day. I don't care about the money, but felt extorted for something that should've been included. They changed the ad only after I pointed out that the fee wasn't mentioned. The AC was also the weakest in all of Greece, barely making the room livable even with the shades shut. If you're charging people for it, at least provide a decent unit. Owner, just raise your prices to include AC instead of extorting guests who've paid thousands to travel here. This is a blatant money grab. After buying all the extras, it would've been cheaper and less hassle to stay somewhere listed at a higher price. I hope nobody falls for this place. There are much better options.

We enjoyed our stay in a clean two-bedroom apartment close to the beach, with a fully equipped kitchen. They also have a taverna, with good food at good prices.

Friendly, honest people who work hard.

Getting to the sea was easy, but the stay was one to forget. We paid extra in cash each day to use the old, inadequate air conditioner, and the studio was too hot both day and night. We ended up spending our days away from it. Cleanliness and amenities were minimal. With a little more care and attention, this could have been a pleasant holiday.
