Xenios Loutra Village Beach Hotel

The clear, calm water was lovely for swimming. There’s a beach right across from the hotel, with both paid sunbeds and a free area. Breakfast the next morning was delicious, with a good range of choices. A supermarket is directly opposite, handy for drinks, snacks or ingredients if you want to cook. We’d had such a good time at another village in Greece earlier that summer that my partner and I decided to add another night and visit Loutra. A last-minute offer made the price more than reasonable, surprisingly low given how beautiful the place and its unique beach were. We stayed just one night, but it was well worth it. A friendly, smiling young woman welcomed us at reception and gave us our keys. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, and the balcony overlooking the sea at sunset was breathtaking. The bathroom was another nice surprise, far more luxurious than we expected for what we paid. The room was right beside an outdoor air conditioning unit, though, and the heat it gave off made the room feel stuffy on top of the summer weather. We had to leave the air conditioning running all night, which I usually try to avoid. That was the only downside. We found a fantastic nearby bar, Villa Stasa. With the cliffs, little bay and twinkling lights, it felt magical and was one of the most romantic places we’ve visited. The cocktails were excellent, but the setting alone made it unforgettable. Loutra Beach Hotel exceeded our expectations for the price, and we’d happily return.
