Aegli Hotel

The hotel is very modest, but it was the cheapest option I found in the area, and the location and view are great. Most rooms overlook the hotel’s private beach, which is right in front of the yard. It was fine for swimming, though you’ll want water shoes because of the large stones. Since it’s tucked in, there were rarely waves, so we liked swimming there. We also loved the nearby beach by the park, which never had waves. The city beach farther down was nice too, with turquoise water, but when I was there in July it always had waves and was hard to swim in. My room had a small balcony where I could hang clothes to dry and have coffee, plus a fridge and AC that worked well. There’s an elevator, public balconies on each floor, and cleaners came daily. Breakfast was buffet style and regularly replenished. The owner, his daughter Paulina, and the staff were putting in a lot of effort every day. The owner is a great guy, and while I was working in the lobby, he often offered me wine, which was a lovely gesture. Wi-Fi was available. There were a lot of tourists when I visited, and some people had trouble getting a signal, but I and others with iPhones or Apple laptops could connect. There’s also a park with a fountain about a two-minute walk away, where you can fill bottles with thermal and medical water and get free Wi-Fi. The bus stop is nearby too. Ask the guys at the front desk about buses to Nafplio and Athens. It’s a small, owner-operated business, and I had a great stay. If you’re on a tight budget and want basic accommodation in a great location in Loutraki with a nice view, this is a good choice. GRC Steakhouse Co. Loutraki has great Gyros. The hotel is a bit old, but the rooms are very clean. The staff are polite, and the owner and his daughter are great. The price is good, and I’m very happy with the service. I hope to come back.

The young man at reception is the one good thing here. The lights, bathroom, bed, furniture, and really the whole building are all bad. Sure, it may be cheap, but if the owner won’t put money into it, he should close it.

Don’t come here. It’s the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The rooms are small, old, smelly, and dirty, and the bathroom looks as if it’s never been cleaned. The TV and air conditioning are both small and old, and the elevator doesn’t feel safe to use.
