We arrived very late after a long drive, only to be told the hotel had no room because it was overbooked on the night we’d planned to stay. The receptionist spoke no English and very little Greek, which made the situation extremely frustrating.

The only downside is that it’s on the edge of town, about a kilometer from the center. That also means it’s away from the bustle and crowds of vacationers. Tatyana is a wonderful hostess, and the hotel is pleasant, clean, tidy, and welcoming, with delicious food. The service feels above its two-star rating, practically three-star-plus.

The bathroom leaves a lot to be desired, and the hallways get very hot in summer. The elevator is small, and the breakfast was the same every day for all 8 days. The sausages were a disaster. There’s air conditioning and a refrigerator in the room.
