Mantas Seaside Boutique Hotel

The location is the hotel’s one real positive, and it’s why I’m giving two stars. Breakfast is very limited, and the rooms make it clear that guests aren’t being treated with much respect. They should get rid of the 30-year-old wallpaper and just paint the walls. There seems to be no interest in investing in the place. Maybe it was a three-star hotel 30 years ago.

The food was excellent, with plenty of choice at breakfast and dinner, and the sunsets were beautiful. Our room was on the small side, but it was clean, tidied every day, and had a great sea view. The location is the best in Loutraki, and the staff were kind and careful about wearing masks and gloves. The beach bar staff could work on their English: they missed one of our orders, probably because they didn’t understand it, but the hotel gave us free drinks afterward. We really enjoyed our stay.

The staff really try hard to make your stay pleasant. They’ll help with whatever you need and share any information you ask for. The hotel itself is old and a bit worn, with repairs in place of new fixtures, so don’t expect it to be in perfect shape. The buffet is small, but food is fresh and authentic Greek, while still tourist-friendly, if you come when a meal service opens. The rooftop pool wasn’t good, and we couldn’t find the so-called Jacuzzi, so don’t come expecting to lounge by the pool. The beach is just 50 meters away. We were satisfied, though the hotel is pretty average. One extra detail, our room had a bathtub.

Mantas looks clean and nice from outside, but it doesn’t feel like a three-star hotel. It’s been renovated and has four stars, yet the pool was out of use only for Serbian guests. We Serbs paid the full price, which included pool access, while foreign guests could use the pool on the hotel roof during their stay. The staff handled this very unprofessionally. I’m really disappointed in this hotel.
