Kyma

Kyma was a lovely surprise. The staff made me feel welcome and at home as soon as I arrived. My room was spotless and nicely decorated, comfortable without losing its style, and the care in the details showed everywhere.

The rooms and service were great, but the food was the real standout. It was easily the best meal we had in Loutro, and I'd eat here if you come.

I wouldn't stay at Kyma again if I returned to Loutro. The staff didn't seem glad to see us, though I thought that might just be their manner until a Greek-American family arrived and got a very warm welcome. Somehow they were served food before us, too. Breakfast was just a boiled egg and toast. Our room was comfortable and very quiet, with a refrigerator and two small bottles of water. At night, several bright lights shone into the room, including the AC unit and maybe an emergency exit sign.

The proprietor was very helpful sorting out logistics when it wasn't clear whether the ferry would run. Our clean, modern room had a balcony over the bay, a clothes rack on the patio and air conditioning that worked well. The standard breakfast includes eggs, which not every hotel offers.
