Paradisos studios

We spent a week in the large yellow room, which can sleep 4 people and has two terraces. One of them has a real Greek feel. The kitchen was fine for us, though you can't cook a large menu there. It's a child-friendly place with a clean room, a big garden and a local vibe. There's a green and blue view, and it's right by the Thermi road. There are a few nearby swimming options, and it's not far from the center. What more could you want?

For the price, this place definitely wasn't worth it. It's falling apart, and the refrigerator hadn't been switched on for us. There was a faint urine smell, which I checked with a friend who's a doctor, so I know I wasn't imagining it. An old dog wandered around and didn't look very clean. The air conditioner was ancient and didn't work. Somehow it seemed wired to sensors that could turn it off when doors were left open, or something like that. Even if it had worked, it probably wouldn't have helped much. One room had decent air conditioning but a toilet with poor water pressure; the other had a "good toilet" installed but the same bad air conditioning.

Things were fine until my fourth day, when the husband moved me from my room into a smaller, run-down one and put someone else in my original room. The WiFi kept dropping, the channels didn't work, and because my room was beside where Mr. V worked, I mostly heard banging. One morning a loud bang woke me up, and he looked at me as though I'd made it. I called him to my room about 4 or 5 times to fix things, but they still weren't satisfactory. I went into town to check on my boat so I could leave the island. I ended up having to go that day, so I took a cab back to the property and told Mr. V about the problem. I didn't want to leave then, but had to get to the airport on time. If I stayed, I would've been stranded on the island without anywhere to sleep and might've missed my flight home. He didn't listen when I explained that I had to leave and it wasn't planned, and at first he didn't want to refund me. I had to argue over the money for the 2 nights I couldn't stay. In the end, he kept it anyway. His wife is a lovely woman, but I think he's a con artist. I feel sorry for her, because I think he's going to run their business into the ground. Also, this isn't a beachfront property. The beach is down the street and around the corner. There's a dog with fleas walking around and sniffing people. Be careful. Steer clear, or book at your own risk.

For what you pay, it's a great place. The surroundings are beautiful, the sea is close by, and the owners are really nice.
