Blue Sea Villa

We spent three weeks at Blue sea villa, working for part of the stay, and had such a good time that I really hope to come back. Our host was thoughtful, kind, friendly, and extremely helpful. The terrace has a lovely sea view, and we were lucky enough to watch a striking red moon rise over the dark blue horizon twice. A short walk along the beautiful shore takes you to the tavernas in Makry Gialos. We tried nearly all the beachfront ones, and found them very tasty and affordable. The villa is also a 2-3 minute walk from one of Crete's most beautiful, quiet beaches. A few mornings, there were just the two of us there. The water is clear and refreshing, and there's plenty of shade from the midday sun. Down in the south, the area felt less crowded and less affected by tourism than the north, with lots of good hiking opportunities. This distinctive house has a peaceful Greek feel that makes you want to stay in Crete for good. Every room is comfortable and charming, with traditional Greek touches and an original, tasteful style. It seems ideal for couples, whether on holiday or working remotely, and has a lovely atmosphere for relaxing and unwinding.
