The beach was a hit with my son, especially the sand, and getting down there by the stairs was easy. We also loved the magical sunset. This is a place where you could happily spend many more days. The 300-year-old house has such a lovely feel, and its backyard is cozy and sweet. I’d replace the hammock and tree chairs if it were mine, since they weren’t very comfortable. The hammock was hard to get into and broken in places, but the view and atmosphere mattered more to us. We loved the place from our first look and could have spent a week here. This time we’re driving around Crete and staying in five different places. Now we’re in the heart of Crete, near the mountains, which is beautiful and charming too, but we could easily have stayed here longer. Thanks! :)

Emma was a wonderful host and communicator, and arranged the cots and feather-free pillows we needed. We also appreciated how honestly the property was described. The beach was only a few minutes away and stunning, and the terrace had a breathtaking view. We came as a family of five, with children aged 12, 9, and 4, and this was by far our best holiday ever, even though we travel a lot. The place had the rustic simplicity and character we’d expect from a Cretan home by the beach, along with the comforts of a luxury holiday. There were many taverns around, and we could make full use of the attached resorts nearby. We hardly had to cook, since the restaurants and mini markets had what we needed at very fair prices. Fantastic value for money.

The balcony was a lovely spot for breakfast in the sun, with sea views and beautiful trees all around. We were there at the end of the season, so it was quiet, and the big hotels beside us had only a few guests. Emma’s flat is cozy, beautifully decorated, and full of nice touches. It’s also conveniently close to the beach and surrounding villages. Emma and Maria communicated really well and gave us all the tips and help we needed. We loved the atmosphere at Mesodokia flat and hope to return. Thanks, Emma!

The small village is about a 20-minute walk or 5 minutes by car, with lots of tavernas and bars along the seafront. Really nice and convenient. We loved our time on the perfect terrace, and the place itself was unbelievably beautiful. Taking our morning coffee down to the beach in 3 minutes was such a treat. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend it to anyone heading to Crete. Thanks so much, Emma and Maria.

We stayed a little over a week in the off-season and were glad to find a small market that was almost always open, plus a lovely restaurant down the street. The location was great, with gorgeous views and amazing sunsets. The host communicated fantastically, and we felt very well looked after.
