I rarely leave reviews, but the manager's awful response and lies when we raised our problems made me feel I had to warn people. Look back through older reviews and save your money. The rooms were badly neglected. The air conditioning barely worked and was so loud we couldn't sleep. The unit must have been at least 30 years old. We also found cockroaches in the bathroom on two different nights during our six-night stay. Worst experience I've had in a long time.

The photos on Booking show rooms that have nothing to do with what you actually get. The facilities and service were extremely poor, and the conditions felt unhygienic. There were cockroaches in the room's bathroom. Avoid this accommodation at all costs.

The garden is lovely, the staff are really friendly, and breakfast was much better than at most places I've stayed. I booked through a travel agency at the last minute and had no expectations because the reviews were mixed, so I was pleasantly surprised. It's not a five-star hotel for anyone used to luxury holidays, but it offers very good value and has everything you need. A toaster, sharper knives and a bit more cutlery in the kitchen would have been nice. I'd happily come back.

We were looking for a traditional Greek hotel, so the older style suited us. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with amazing old olive trees, and the pool was bigger than I expected. You're close to the beach and restaurants, and for the price I can't think of anything else we wanted. We arrived in the middle of the night, but the hotel had agreed to let us check in. The instructions were flawless and we got into our rooms without a hitch. If you're expecting a completely new hotel, this probably isn't for you. We had a wonderful week in Crete, thanks!
