Samothraki Beach Apartments and Suites Hotel

What stood out most was the staff. They were consistently friendly, smiling, and genuinely keen to help. The hotel sits on a large cliffside property on the island’s southwest coast, with lovely sea views. The beach by the road is public, though sunbeds and umbrellas near the path to the hotel are free to use. Our room had a balcony overlooking the sea, plenty of space, air conditioning, a safe, and a mini fridge. The bathroom was roomy and the shower was very good. The bed was low and a little narrow, but still comfortable enough. Rooms are spread across several low buildings, up to two floors tall, generally with four rooms in each. There’s a large pool and a restaurant beside reception, along with plenty of parking and even an EV charger.

That sea view from the pool was absolutely fabulous, and Marina at reception was wonderful. I think she’s the best choice any hotel in Samothraki could make. Thank you so much, Marina. If we ever return, it’ll be because of you. As for the rest, the room was mediocre and so was the cleaning. They changed the towels and made the bed, but during my four-night stay they never cleaned the bathroom. Breakfast was mediocre too.

We arrived on Samothrace without expecting much and ended up having the best possible stay. The sea and mountain views are stunning, the food is delicious and high quality, and the rooms are luxurious and perfectly clean. The hotel staff were so welcoming and provided great service, especially Marina. This is undoubtedly the best place on the island to relax.

We couldn’t get to the island by car because the only ferry with space for the car wasn’t available for two days. I lost the money I’d paid for the accommodation, and the hotel won’t refund it. Be careful with this location: there’s only one ferry a day, so book tickets ahead or you may find yourself stranded. The hotel knows about this situation but doesn’t tell tourists, even though it should.
