It was peaceful at night, even though the hotel is less than a minute from the main strip, and the beds were lovely and soft. The bar and surrounding area had a friendly feel, mainly thanks to the welcoming hostess. Guests came from different countries and could all speak English, which was nice. There was also a security person after midnight, but they were very relaxed and didn’t put any pressure on us. I stayed for two weeks. Koula, the owner, greeted me warmly and reassured me that the hotel and surrounding area were very safe, with minimal crime. My apartment was a triple room overlooking the pool, with three single beds, a kitchenette with a good fridge, kettle, and cooking facilities, which I rarely used because I mostly ate out. It had a shower and separate toilet, which was a nice touch. The shower pressure was excellent, and the shower head seemed very new. A couple of things were missing, but they were sorted almost immediately when I mentioned them. I wish I’d spent more time at the bar. Koula really makes the place. She chats with you whether you’re young or old, when you’re heading out or coming back. She’s a lovely lady, and it was a lovely stay. Thank you.

The location at I Candy Sol was ideal, right by the shops, pubs, and restaurants, and only a 10-minute walk to the beach. I had an amazing time in Malia and loved my stay. Koula was a brilliant host who made sure I was looked after and happy with everything. She gave me generous cooked breakfasts, and my room was always clean and nice. I’ll definitely be back!

Koula is amazing and really understands hospitality. She’s the hotel’s new owner as of this year, and she knows everyone by name, even some people who just walk past from other hotels. She’s making lots of improvements, including bathroom renovations and fences to give the pool more privacy. There’s more to come!

The rooms are beautiful, and the atmosphere Koula and her family create is why you’ll want to return. It’s right in the centre of Malia. 10/10.

The rooms at Icandy Sol were really nice and clean, with new furniture and everything feeling fresh. Breakfast was good and had a nice variety. The hotel is close to everything, especially the lovely old centre, where you can get a great traditional Greek meal. There’s a supermarket around the corner, and the beach is an easy walk away. I had a relaxing, comfortable stay, especially with the new owner. Koula is always happy to share information to help make your holiday unforgettable. I’d recommend this hotel 100% and would advise booking for a lovely stay in 2025. Keep up the good work, Koula! 🫶🏼
