We booked Semiramis Apartments through a travel agency. On arrival, we were asked to pay extra for air conditioning, though the agency hadn’t told us about this. We checked the booking details afterward, and AC was listed as included. It was disappointing to be asked for 10 E per day in cash. The rooms were average and the cleanliness wasn’t great. Towels were changed only if we asked the cleaning staff, and we had to request toilet paper too. The bathroom got wet when we showered, stayed mostly wet, and wasn’t cleaned properly. There were no basics like shampoo. The owners were friendly and breakfast was nice, which is why I gave it 2 stars. The location is good, directly on the strip and close to the beach and old town.

The room didn’t match the pictures from the travel agency. They showed nice rooms, but we ended up with a toilet almost inside the shower cabin, and I kept bumping into it while showering. We liked the family-run feel and your smiles, but we couldn’t get past the sense that the agency had agreed not to tell us about the AC charge until we arrived. I have to give 1 star. Charging 70 euros extra for AC with no receipt makes me wonder if it’s a way to earn more without paying taxes. 10/euros per day??????? Unbelievable. I like family-run businesses, but this hunger for money seems to have no limits.

My girlfriend and I spent 8 nights here and felt welcome as soon as we arrived. Alex and the other owners were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make things special. They even suggested great restaurants and kindly made reservations for us. The rooms were simple, but always spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had a fantastic time and would definitely return if we’re in Crete again. Highly recommended!

We had a nice stay, and the hosts were really friendly and welcoming. The main thing to keep in mind is the outside noise, which you can still hear into the morning. It’s in a party town, so that’s understandable.

Spotless room, lovely pool, and only steps from the sea. The food was delicious and the hospitality was exceptional. We had an amazing stay, highly recommend!
