Semeli Stalis

The owner was extremely nice and helpful, and the place is only a few steps from the beach, though the entry into the sea is quite rocky. We stayed for 2 weeks in a 3 bed apartment on the first floor, and the street noise was extreme. The apartment wasn’t as clean as we expected: it was cleaned only once, after we asked, and towels were changed only on request, which feels quite unacceptable for an apartment on a sandy beach. The furniture is a bit outdated, and when the air conditioning isn’t working, there’s a slight mold smell. With a few improvements, this could be a perfect place to stay.

The owners were warm and very helpful, and answered our requests quickly. The apartments are simple, comfortable, and really relaxing. They suit all kinds of visitors: young people looking for fun, sea lovers with activities close by, adventurers wanting to explore the very interesting inland of Lassithi, or anyone who just wants to rest.

It’s a perfect spot for a carefree vacation, right in a privileged position on the northeast corner of Stalida beach!

I can’t recommend it anymore. The nightly price went up by 50%, from €53 in 2024 to €80 in 2025. They took cash only and gave no bill. During our 2.5 weeks, the room wasn’t cleaned at all, and sheets and towels were available only if we asked. Stalis is highly recommended, and there are plenty of other hotels.
