Stelios Gardens

Don't go here. The hotel is nice and in a good location, but they didn't clean our room every day even though we'd paid for that service. The towels were dirty and torn, and management played down what happened and even lied to our faces. We'd booked an apartment where we could cook for ourselves, but instead got a room with a fridge and were told it was an upgrade. Taken together, these things wiped out all the hotel's positive points for us. We decided we won't come back.

We spent 10 days here and had a really restful holiday. The location is close to everything in the area, yet it stays quiet and peaceful. The rooms and pool were clean, the prices were very good, and all the meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, were fresh and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful too. A lovely choice for families, couples, or small groups looking to relax.

The pool was clean and inviting, and the whole property felt welcoming and well cared for. Service was outstanding. I especially loved the gyros, the best I've ever tasted. I'd happily recommend Stelios Gardens for a relaxing break with really good food and service.

The food was the highlight for me. I usually skip hotel meals, but the pizza, pita gyros, and souvlaki at Stelios Gardens were some of the best things I ate in Crete. The staff were lovely, and since it's a family-run place, they made sure everyone was having a good time. They also helped us rent a car and suggested places to see around the island. Our room was clean, and there was enough space around the pool and bar for everyone to be comfortable. The hotel is only two minutes from the beach and Malia's main street, but it still felt quiet. I had a great seven-day stay, though I wish it had been longer. I hope I can come back.
