We were especially grateful that the host let us into our rooms as soon as we arrived, even though check-in was 3 PM. We'd told them in advance we'd be early, and they made it easy for us. The location worked really well, close to both Malia's old town and the nightlife street. The clubs were about a 10-minute walk away, yet our street stayed fairly quiet and we slept undisturbed. Breakfast was enough to get us through the morning. Our room was cleaned daily and left spotless, and we enjoyed spending plenty of time by the nice pool. It couldn't be used at night while it was being cleaned with chemicals. The staff were pleasant and attentive, especially the host, who helped with every issue. This was probably one of the best choices and experiences for a stay in Malia.

The staff were super friendly, and breakfast had a delicious variety to choose from. Our spacious room was spotless too. Hotel Sunshine was a wonderful place to unwind and feel comfortable. Highly recommend! 🌞🌟

Danai and the young man at reception, whose name we unfortunately didn't catch, were so helpful with advice about excursions. Danai also kindly gave us a free upgrade at check-in, since it was available, and let us check in early. All the staff greeted us each day, which was a lovely touch. The night security staff member was very kind too. The door is locked at night for safety, and guests get a key to use when it is locked. We could also borrow books and beach parasols. The modern room was cleaned daily by Maria, and we had no issues during our stay. Amanda kept breakfast organised and clean, and it was always great. The pool area was clean and relaxing, with plenty of sun loungers and bean bag loungers. Zoe and Amanda were attentive at the pool bar. They work so hard, and we looked forward to their coffees and smoothies every day. Special thanks to Danai, Amanda, Zoe and Maria.

The apartment was nice, and everything was clean. Four friends and I spent nine days at Sunshine Boutique Hotel in Malia, Crete, in September. Our room had a pool view and morning sunrise, which I'd recommend. The rooms were newly furnished and very clean. The pool had plenty of sunbeds, and the bar offered a varied selection. If you'd rather swim in the sea, the beach is at most a 15-minute walk away. The water was a lovely way to cool down in September. The party strip was also within a 10-minute walk, though nightlife in September was quieter and some clubs had already closed. There was still good partying to be had, and we enjoyed chatting with the night watchman Marius when we returned. He was there all night and could offer a helpful tip or two. Night check-in and the airport transfer both went smoothly. Staff were always friendly and keen to help with guests' concerns. At breakfast there was something for everyone, though as party holidaymakers we found the 10:30 end time a little early. Greetings from the four boys from Germany.
