There was a urine smell everywhere, and the place stinks. It looks like it has never been renovated. The owner also refuses to provide receipts.

The balcony view, especially at sunset, was a highlight of our stay at La Casa di Rene. We were five, and the spacious house gave us room to gather in the shared areas without feeling cramped. It was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean, with a welcoming feel like a friend's summer home. The location was close enough to walk to Mandraki, yet peaceful in the evenings. We also had a fully equipped kitchen and cooked one night. The bedrooms were roomy, the Wi-Fi reliable, and useful since some of us worked remotely. Our hosts were kind and happy to share information or help. For a group looking for a comfortable, lovely, authentic house in Nisyros, La Casa di Rene is worth considering.

There were five of us, and we felt right at home at La Casa di Rene. The place has real character, blending traditional touches with comfort. We spent each evening on the terrace, and the house was impeccably clean. It's close to Mandraki but still quiet, and the hostess was warm and gave us useful tips. A real highlight of our trip.
