We had a great week at Mare Nostrum Villas with our family group of 13. Villas 3 and 4 were connected by stairs, which worked really well for us: we had two kitchens and two fridges, plus plenty of comfortable space. The pool and terrace were excellent, with amazing views. We also enjoyed the Beach Club for its lovely bay view, food, and drinks. I’d definitely recommend it for families.
The water was clean, and finding parking wasn’t too difficult, but the service was among the worst I’ve experienced. Staff kept forgetting things and served their friends ahead of people who had been waiting. The manager didn’t seem able to manage the team, and they came across as generally incompetent. Coffee at 4.30 euros didn’t feel worth the price. I get that people can be tired or unhappy at work, but smiling only for tourists and speaking to us as if we smelled bad because we ordered fewer items was disgraceful.
We had a week in one of the villas and couldn’t have asked for more. It was spacious enough for three families, with a great terrace view over the bay. The beach is only a few steps away when you want a break from the private pool, and there’s good food and drinks when you’ve had enough of the beach and pool. The service was great, and the host was really friendly. Best wishes to Panos :)
The beach is awesome, but the hotel and its bars act like they own the place. They put towels on half the sunbeds to hold them for friends or people they like. I wouldn’t go back.
The name says it all. They act like they own the sea, with loud music aimed at the bay so everyone there has to hear it all day. It’s arrogant and the opposite of sustainable tourism.
