Philoxenia Hotel

It’s a lovely family-run hotel, and everyone is friendly and helpful. You really feel at home. The bedroom has the best view for sunsets, and there’s a nice pool and lounge where you can relax. A perfect spot for a quiet, laid-back stay in Kalymnos.

The family running this little hotel made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived until we left. Our room was perfectly fine, and the sea view across to Telendos was the best I've ever had. The place was clean, breakfast was good, and the bar stayed open all day with very reasonable prices. We loved our stay and will come back. 🥰

The homemade food is hard to beat, and the cocktails are spectacular. Service was always friendly, with a smile. The views are amazing from waking up in the morning to sitting down for dinner. We've already started thinking about booking again for next year. It went well beyond what I expected.

What made the biggest difference for us was how welcome Nikolas and his family made us feel. I've never felt so much like part of a family while staying at a hotel. We ended up spending more time downstairs chatting and laughing than on our lovely balcony, and I appreciated all the thoughtful hospitality, conversations, and laughs. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and until next time. ❤️ The setting is peaceful, with mountains behind the hotel and the blue sea and Telendos in front. It's close enough to walk to shops and restaurants, but set back from them, so it feels much quieter than a busy large hotel. The hotel is small, with space to relax. Our room had what we needed and was clean, and the balcony was huge, with room to enjoy the views and look at the starry sky. There's a nice-sized pool downstairs, with sunny and shaded spots. The food is fresh and homemade, better than what I've had at many restaurants. Nikolas makes delicious cocktails for different tastes, the kind of drinks I couldn't find at the same level in bars. Breakfast had more tempting choices than I could fit in.
