MasouriBlu Boutique Hotel

The room was breathtaking, just wow. We stayed for my partner's birthday, and it was the most beautiful, magical place I've ever seen. The staff were so kind, and the lady who owns the hotel was especially sweet. Breakfast was simple but delicious. We'll definitely come back 😊

The beach is right next to the hotel, and there are plenty of shaded sunbeds, which is good news for a ginger like me who doesn't want to get sunburnt. Breakfast was outstanding, and the friendly people, comfy bed, amazing room views, and rain shower were all big pluses.

The beach bar does good food and drinks, with free sunbeds and umbrellas. There's also a little market for picking up lunch, handy for climbers, and it's an easy walk to several popular climbing areas. The property feels like a hotel and bed & breakfast combined, in the best way. We stayed at MasouriBlu for 10 days in October 2022 as climbers. Both rooms we used were spotless and comfortable. The first was a side room, shown in the first set of photos, though I can't remember its name, maybe Cleo? It had more than enough space for two adults and all our gear 😂. Later we moved to a very spacious first-floor room overlooking the water, which could fit two couples or a family with two kids, even grown-up ones. The main building is elegant, comfortable, and kept in fantastic condition. Breakfast is served in the lobby, brought to you rather than laid out buffet-style. Each one came with a starter such as yogurt with fruit or something home-baked, plus an egg dish and unlimited coffee, tea, and juice. There's no flexibility in the menu, so if you don't like eggs, you can opt out. If you do, they're gorgeous golden eggs, served creatively, and you'll leave very full. The staff are a small but excellent crew, very nice and professional. They cook, host, and clean the rooms. The owner and host is kind and interested in getting to know you, clearly someone with a real calling for hospitality. She takes pride in the property and in creating a great atmosphere. The rooms are very quiet, though you'll hear the ocean a little and any exceptionally loud noise. We had a surprise street concert one night. If you're sensitive to noise, bring earplugs just in case. The beds are full-sized, and a King is a proper King, not two XL twins pushed together.

We spent 11 nights here in June and July for our honeymoon, drawn to Kalymnos for the climbing and the sea. The room had two balconies, one looking toward the mountains and one toward the water, and it was quiet enough that we slept well every night. Breakfast on the veranda above the beach came with a beautiful view of Telendos. Each table got its own French press, along with plenty of tasty homemade food. The hotel is lovely throughout, from the decor and views to all the flowers and plants. Kalotina and her staff were so kind and made us feel like family. It’s an exceptionally beautiful, clean place, and we’ll always remember our stay fondly. We’re so glad we chose Masouri Blu Boutique Hotel.
