Horizon Beach Resort

The hotel was wonderful, and the employees were friendly and professional. We had a great stay and loved the beach, pools, and surroundings. Wi-Fi worked everywhere, including at the beach, by the pool, and in our room.

I’m happy with the resort overall and was thinking of giving it four or even five stars, but the room cleaning was a major letdown. There were very visible hairs left behind by previous guests on the bathtub, bathroom floor, and other spots. The mirrors looked like they hadn’t been wiped in ages, and the remote was sticky and dusty. The next day’s cleaning didn’t improve anything. We had a small baby and carefully tied up the used diapers in a plastic bag for staff to collect, as has happened at other hotels, but they didn’t take it. The resort is huge and well maintained, yet it didn’t feel overcrowded even in peak season. There are several pools and restaurants, including one for adults only. I didn’t try that one, but I appreciate the option for guests without children. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was good. Breakfast coffee could be better, especially since the bars selling good coffee don’t open until 10. It was a small annoyance, but the beach restaurant’s lunch menu was hard to find in English because everything was in German. Maybe they could print menus in two or three languages. I’d consider coming back if they improve the cleaning.

The location is good, the hotel itself is nice, and the staff are kind. The food, though, wasn’t great. By the third day we could barely stomach it. Our room’s mosquito net was torn and our baby got badly bitten. Most of the stay felt pretty mediocre, even though the people and the hotel were nice.

This is the best hotel I’ve stayed at so far! The food was tasty, the views were amazing, service was highly professional, and the room was cleaned every day. I absolutely recommend it 🤩
