What stood out most was how peaceful and private the place felt. Megalochori is a real Greek village, away from busy Fira and Oia, so there was no one passing close by our villa or looking in while we used the pool and sunbathed. The high walls helped, and the gated Sophia mansion felt like our own quiet space. The Blue Dome is just across from it on the high street. Constantino welcomed us as soon as we arrived, then sat down with us to go over a map of Santorini and suggest places to visit. He was very attentive and supportive throughout. The house was clean and tidy, and the housekeeper kept everything in order regularly. She was lovely. There’s a family bakery nearby, and pleasant walks that stay away from traffic. The villa is about 100 yards from the main road for Fira and Oia. Fira is under a 20-minute drive and Oia around 30 minutes, so we could enjoy the quiet village and still head out for walks and restaurants. We highly recommend the place and Constantino’s team. Thanks for all the help, including arranging the rental car, and for making the trip so special for us and our two little daughters.

The location was well worth the price, and I’m already planning to come back. My friends and I spent spring break here and it worked out perfectly. The host replied quickly, offered lots of ideas for authentic local food, and we had transfers available whenever we needed to get around.

Megalochori is peaceful, with plenty of dining options and convenient parking close to the villa, while the island’s other major spots are still within reach. Our host was easy to contact and shared lots of genuinely useful suggestions for things to do and places to eat. The villa combines traditional architecture with modern comforts, including superfast WiFi, which is unusual in Greek hotels. Its layout was practical for our small family to stay comfortably for an extended visit. We also loved the thoughtfully designed outdoor space, where we could relax in the afternoon or evening and spend time by the pool. A wonderful place to stay on the island.

We loved staying here. The villa is in a peaceful area, with several places within walking distance, and it’s beautiful. Each couple had their own space, while the courtyard and pool gave us a great spot to gather. The concierge also helped us figure out what to do around Santorini and gave us some great recommendations.

Right in the middle of the village, the villa gave us a really authentic Santorini experience. We had a fantastic week, and Takis and Konstantinos looked after us so well. The whole process was easy, and we loved the place.
