Bio House

Nikos and his wife have made a little haven here, and they were generous about sharing it with us. They were interested in getting to know us and told us about their own lives, which gave me a glimpse of Greek ways of thinking and the wisdom behind them. I was initially doubtful that a tiny village and its small pebbly beach could earn such glowing reviews elsewhere, but their hospitality quickly changed my mind.

A bit worn around the edges, but the bungalows are roomy, the facilities are good, and the price is fair. It's a charming, easygoing place, and the hosts are really friendly.

The most wonderful holiday I've ever had!

We meant to stay four days at BIOHOUSE in Chrani and wound up there for ten. Each day somehow topped the one before it. There are a supermarket and bakery just a short walk away, plus a pleasant bar and a few village restaurants. The house itself is roomy, very clean, and nicely furnished, with a kitchenette stocked with plenty of dishes and pots. The Wi-Fi is free and worked well. From the beachside setting, you can look across the Gulf of Kalamata toward the opposite foothills of the Taigatos Mountains. Swimming and snorkeling are easy here, or you can just relax by the water. The beach is pebbly, while a sandy beach is about a five-minute walk away. Sun loungers, umbrellas, canoes, and a barbecue are provided free. Nikos and Vasiliki were warm and helpful, and we felt at home quickly. Vasiliki cooks very well, and both of them were happy to share their food with us. A lovely place to stay, and I'd be glad to return.
