La Munte Mountain Resort

The balcony gave us a lovely view across Metsovo, and the room itself was spotless, with a big comfortable bed. The shower was the best I’ve come across in Greece, and the whole bathroom was great. Staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Everyone spoke at least a little English, and the hostess was quite fluent. Breakfast offered plenty of choice. It wasn’t the best we’ve had in Greece, but it was perfectly decent. There’s a lounge and shared patio overlooking town, with a nice fireplace. The bar looked well stocked, though we didn’t try it. No restaurant at the hotel, but several are just a couple of minutes’ walk away. It’s a beautiful small hotel in a village on the mountainside. If you’re arriving by car, keep in mind the roads are steep and narrow, the turns are tight, and hotel parking is limited.

Anilio is good value if you're looking to avoid the crowds in Metsovo, and its local tavernas serve good food too. You can walk to Metsovo on the marked trail, passing small waterfalls and the monastery. There are several other marked routes as well, with maps along the way.

The village is gorgeous and the people are so nice. The rooms are spacious and laid out perfectly, and the bathroom is modern and clean. Amazing place. Definitely coming back!

The staff member at reception welcomed us warmly and gave us lots of helpful information. Our room was spacious and came with various accessories, and there’s a sauna for relaxing. Breakfast had plenty of choices for different tastes. This ended up being the best hotel of our trip. It was quiet, very clean, and nicely decorated, set along the mountainside village with a few restaurants nearby. We only wish we could have stayed longer.
