Big Blue

Nikos made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. He took care to make sure we had what we needed, shared ideas for restaurants and things to do, and even surprised us with a homemade treat. The apartment was comfortable and had everything for a pleasant stay, but the balcony view across the clear water was the standout. It was lovely for coffee in the morning or a drink at sunset. The beach is just a short walk away, with soft sand, turquoise water, and a peaceful feel. I’d highly recommend this place for a quiet, scenic, and authentic stay in Crete.

Even nearly a year later, I can still remember how peaceful it felt here. We were greeted with a smile and shown into a snug apartment, thoughtfully put together. The view made it easy to sit back and let your mind wander between sea and sky. The beach is spacious and only a few steps away, the water feels lovely, and the little town is charming. In the evening, the cicadas get loud. We also came across a kitten and took it home with us :) A beautiful setting, and one I’d happily recommend.

The beach is just nearby, with clear blue water, and there are sweet little restaurants and shops along the shore. Back at the place, the shared garden gives plenty of shade, and you can hear crickets and smell jasmine. The rooms have a lot of individual charm, and everything feels quiet and cozy. Nikos and Stelios were both lovely hosts, sharing useful tips on where to eat and which beaches to visit. This place means a lot to me, and I’d come back anytime ❤️

You can find what you need right on the doorstep, yet the place stays quiet and peaceful. The holiday apartments sit above the little village, surrounded by lush gardens. The facilities are great, and the host was great too.
