It was okay.

We were lucky to stay only one night. The kitchen cupboards smelled musty, and the housekeeping was poor. The curtains were moldy, the windows dirty, and the fresh paint on the interior walls had left smudges all over, including on the furniture. The photos online look very old, perhaps from when the place was new, and don't show how run-down the building is now. There was no reception, no customer service, and no one spoke English. The six units are on the ground and first floors. Ours was spacious enough for five, with two bathrooms, though one was tiny and had no window. A wooden spiral staircase led upstairs, which was awkward with suitcases, to a large bedroom with a double bed and a large bathroom. Breakfast was nearly nonexistent: cold coffee from a dispenser, iced milk, juice that was acceptable, twin packs of toast, single portions of liquid butter and a few jam portions, plus chocolate cake cut into pieces about 3cm x 1cm, many of them crumbled. There were five of us but just three cups, so we had to ask the owner's daughter to bring another. She wasn't there, either. Breakfast was served in an enormous room that had apparently hosted receptions in better days. The ceiling curtains, once seemingly white, were deep gray. I've never seen anything like it. It's expensive, too. If I could, I'd give it zero stars.

We gave up on the room as soon as we saw it. One wall was damp all the way from floor to ceiling, and there were more damp marks on another wall. The pool was empty, even though the weather wasn't great for swimming anyway. It's close to the beach but feels isolated, with only a few houses nearby. Maybe it works in peak summer, but not when we came in late March. Finding it was difficult: it's several kilometers from town, the roads branch through the countryside, and nobody could give us clear directions. The website didn't even have a phone number.

The rooms are the only part that isn't a disaster. The whole estate feels abandoned and nothing works. We regret paying for it, because the pictures on Booking showed us a completely different place. It's a shame to see such a nice estate left in this state. Unacceptable.
