Theophano, the owner, welcomed us for our two-night stay and talked us through both the room and the historic area. The hotel itself feels like a work of art, inspired by Byzantine culture and the era. It’s close to most of the shops and restaurants in the castle, and Theophano gave us a gift when we checked out. I’d highly recommend spending some time here.

We stayed four nights in a spacious room with high ceilings and a balcony overlooking a lovely, quiet square and the sea. The house was full of beautiful art and antique furniture, which made staying there feel special. Our hosts were gracious, caring, and full of useful information. We’d love to return.

The owners of the Theophano were such lovely hosts. They shared what they knew about the town and showed us around their beautiful hotel. Monemvasia’s old town is an incredible place, and its history didn’t disappoint.

We had a lovely breakfast and a faultless two-night weekend stay. Our room was well furnished, and we were lucky to get the big one at the front, looking straight out over the water. The hosts were fantastic and friendly. A beautiful, unique part of Greece, highly recommended!

Mrs. Theophano and Mr. Christos were warm, welcoming, and kind. Our room was clean and spacious, with a feel that took us back to another era. The hotel’s location inside Monemvasia castle, with a sea view, was amazing. I stayed one night, and it’s an experience I won’t forget. I can’t wait to visit again, and I highly recommend it.
