Xifoupolis Hotel Monemvasia

A great room, clean and peaceful, with breakfast included. The place has a pool, too, and the owner was lovely. We recommend it!

For what we paid, this place went well beyond what we expected. We even used the pool in November, and they did our laundry as well. We got a welcome cake, and a charming older woman looked after us with the warmth of a grandmother, always close by and happy to help. Check-in was incredibly quick despite our arriving a little late, and they let us check out later than usual. We’d found the place by chance because it was the cheapest option for our stay in the Peloponnese. Highly, highly recommend!

The homemade breakfast was really good, and the hosts were lovely. There’s parking, and the accommodation makes a very good base for exploring the area. A very nice beach is within walking distance. Excellent place to stay.

The terrace was a lovely place for morning coffee, with cicadas chirping at night. There’s also a pool and parking on site. The staff welcomed us warmly, and the location is convenient if you have a car: close to the castle, with a good sandy beach just a 5-10 minute walk away. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed, though the bed felt hard and took some getting used to. The bathroom wasn’t very convenient, but it was clean. Thanks for a good stay!
