Sunmarotel Miramare Beach

We arrived to a free upgrade from our Seaview suite to a private Jacuzzi suite, which was stunning. On the second day, I realised dinner was a set menu rather than the buffet I’d expected, and as a vegetarian I was worried about what I could eat. Manager Andrinos was very polite and arranged with chef Kyriakos for my needs to be catered for each day. Breakfast was scrumptious, with endless choices. Everyone on staff was kind and made the week memorable. Chrysathi at reception was lovely and checked every day if there was anything else they could do for us. We stayed from 28 April to 5 May, and we’re very grateful to the team. Highly recommend.

The rooms were spacious and open plan, with a nice bathtub, balcony, private jacuzzi and sunbeds. Staff greeted us with smiles and such a positive attitude, and we were grateful for the room upgrade. The hotel was built in 1962 and has been beautifully renovated. It sits across two plots on either side of a street, with an underpass connecting the buildings, so getting around takes a little figuring out. We came with friends for a relaxing stop before heading back to Athens. We enjoyed it and only wish we’d booked more than one night. This feels like a place worth staying at for at least two nights. I plan to return and spend longer there.

The Soma Spa was one of the highlights for us. It’s peaceful, beautifully kept and a place you leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. The therapists and spa staff were attentive and professional, and the manager’s warm welcome made it even better. I think guests miss out if they skip it, and it deserves more recognition. It might help if the therapists sometimes introduced the treatments around the resort. We also loved Raw Bar. The evening setting was romantic and calm, the sushi and other food were superb, and the chefs and restaurant team were friendly and passionate. It became our most memorable meal, one of those evenings you wish could go on longer. The resort’s pools were beautiful too, especially the quiet spa pools where we liked relaxing together. Our room stayed immaculate, and housekeeping serviced it twice a day to a very high standard. We loved the little treats and thoughtful touches on the pillow when we came back from dinner. Staff throughout were welcoming, attentive, professional and genuinely friendly. Nothing felt like too much trouble. Most of all, Domes Miramare gave Gail and me the peace, comfort and time to reconnect that we badly needed. It’s a rare hotel that stays with you after you leave, and we’ve already promised ourselves we’ll return. Before I say more about Domes Miramare, a Luxury Collection Resort, I want to thank Aggeliki, the Guest Relations Manager at Domes of Corfu, Autograph Collection. Gail and I were finding it hard to relax at our original hotel. Aggeliki listened with kindness and professionalism, took time to understand what we needed from the holiday, and arranged our transfer to Domes Miramare. Her care and empathy turned a deeply disappointing trip into one of the most memorable and restorative experiences we’ve had. We won’t forget it. From the moment we arrived, we felt we’d found what we were looking for. The resort is elegant, peaceful and beautifully designed, luxurious without feeling pretentious. Its calm, respectful atmosphere made it easy to switch off.

The staff were kind, polite and always helpful. I asked at the last minute if they could surprise my boyfriend for our anniversary, and they put together the cutest little touch in our room. Our room was spacious and very clean, with a lovely view over the pools and sea. It was cleaned twice a day, and a sweet treat was left on the bed at night. The bed itself was really comfortable. Breakfast had plenty of choices and ran until 11, which we appreciated. Thanks to everyone for a wonderful stay.
