Damma Mia

The house is tucked just below the beach at Damouchari, known for the filming of the Mamma Mia! musical in Greece. It really does feel like staying in a little piece of movie magic, with a paradise setting around it. The place itself has a rare semi-open cave feel, but the bedrooms are still cozy and comfortable. And at night, with no city lights getting in the way, the stars are incredible. This was my first time staying at Damma Mia, though my husband had stayed before and my daughter had been dreaming of coming back for ages. We’ve visited the Pelion region ten times with our group of 5-6 families, and we all love it. This stay went beyond what we expected, especially because of the warm, thoughtful hospitality. There’s SUP, a great range of kitchen things, and pretty much everything you might need. The hosts think ahead about the details, which made the whole visit easy and memorable. If you’ve never been here, lucky you, you still have this special place ahead of you. It felt once in a lifetime to us, and if the scale went higher than five stars, I’d give the property and hosts seven or eight.

The kitchen was modern, well equipped, and came with local treats, so we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Evgenios had thought through all the little details, and this ended up being the highlight of our vacation this year. We’ll definitely come back. We stayed here this summer, right on Damouchari Beach. The property is built into the rocks as part of an old establishment, which gives it a distinctive look, while the modern design fits in well with the surroundings.

The views were mesmerizing, and being right on the beach meant the kids had a wonderful time. It’s also an easy walk to taverns, a supermarket, and even a trekking site. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed, each with an ensuite bathroom. There’s a fully equipped kitchen, plus well-designed, cozy living areas and a terrace. Damma Mia was an amazing beach house that exceeded our expectations. Eugene was warm and welcoming and made sure our needs were taken care of. We’ve never had such a wonderful experience elsewhere. It was a perfect getaway, and we’ll gladly recommend it and return.

For our family of four, staying at Dama Mia was one of the best holidays we’ve had, maybe the best. The house sits under the rock right on the beach, and everything was clean and fully equipped. The supplies from our host were far more than we could have imagined. Evgenios was a great host, easy to communicate with and full of friendly guidance. Dama Mia feels like a complete experience, not just a holiday rental. We highly recommend it and hope we can visit again.
