Dionysus Village Resort

Moustheni is a lovely place to go for food and a drink in the evening. Up in the mountains above town, this place is really well run, and breakfast was amazing. The menu had some unusual things, like chocolate made from almonds, fruit made from vegetables, and tea made from fruit. The food just kept coming, and the kids kept going back for more.

We had a nice stay in a very green setting, with trees all around and a great mountain view. The wooden houses are lovely and had everything we needed. There’s a pool and a small bar where you can relax. We also found a very good restaurant nearby for dinner, one of the best in the whole Kavala area. A lovely place to slow down and unwind.

The breakfast was awful, even my dog wouldn’t eat it, and he eats just about anything. The staff were very impolite, and the place was not pet friendly at all. Our house was dark with no lights, there were no outlets to charge anything, and no wifi. In 15 years of visiting places, this was the first without wifi. Things were old and a lot was broken, with no sign they planned to fix it. I stayed one night and asked the next morning if I could leave. They said I had to pay the full amount for three nights. When I offered to pay for one night, they refused and threatened to call the police, saying I had left without paying. The place was awful, and I’d never go back even if it were free. Don’t ruin your vacation here.

The bungalows are cozy and all wood, and the prices are very reasonable. It’s a great place in the forest, with lovely horses for anyone who enjoys riding. Evenings are nice and cool.
