The room was on the small side and definitely costly, though that seems true of Mykonos hotels generally. Still, we slept really well, even on a Sunday, with no club or music noise reaching us. The staff were so sweet and polite, and the location made it easy to get to all the main spots. There’s also a pretty street behind the hotel, and our little maroon balcony brought in lovely light and fresh air. When we realized we’d left a phone behind, the staff let us know right away. I really appreciated how alert they were.

The location seemed good, and we knew Mykonos in August would be a bit overpriced. The trouble began when we tried to sleep. We were four in the family, the front door wouldn’t shut properly, and a nightclub across from our bedroom was pounding away along with music from the hotel restaurant. It was the worst night we’d had in a long time. Things finally quieted around 3 a.m. I explained it to the receptionist the next morning and she didn’t seem to care. I followed up with an email laying it all out and got the same response. I guess they’ll keep doing business either way.

The room was comfortable and really nice, and the staff were helpful. I loved having my morning coffee out on the balcony. Since the place is right in the center, it works well for a stay of a few nights, but you can hear Mykonos partying at night. Sleeping might be difficult unless you head out to join in and give up some sleep.

The hard, uncomfortable beds and pillows made sleeping tough, and our rooms weren’t properly clean. The floors looked unwashed and the bed covers had stains. Fresh white sheets and covers, bleached between guests, would help the place feel more luxurious. Even the closet hangers were a mismatched mix of plastic, wire, and felt, like they’d been picked up for free. Matching wooden ones would be a simple improvement. The rooms are small, so the price felt a bit high, though it’s about average otherwise. There were some good points: the pool was nice, the location was great, and the service was very good. I appreciated having reception open 24 hours. If you get the top room, the balcony view is lovely, but it isn’t actually private, despite being advertised that way. One morning we woke to a random woman sitting there, talking loudly on her phone. The hotel should either stop calling it private or make sure other people can’t get onto it. The pool also needs some shade, since the midday sun was too hot for us to use it.

The staff were kind and helpful, and the three beds in our room were comfortable enough that we all slept well. The room was good value, which matters in such an expensive town, and it’s tucked into the lovely streets of Mykonos Town. Our taxi left us a short walk away. The bathroom was really cramped, with little room to get ready, but workable. The hotel courtyard looked lovely, though the round pool that resembles a hot tub was actually very cold. The only place to sunbathe was along the pool wall, and we could have used extra towels for the pool. We enjoyed 180° sunset lounge for its stunning views, although it’s expensive. Kastros in Little Venice is about a 5-6 minute walk away, with really tasty food that’s also a little pricey. Paradise beach had a party starting at 16:00, and food and drinks there cost less than in town. It was great fun, and the staff worked hard to make sure we had a good time. At Captain's food for sharing by the old port, the praline chocolate cheesecake and deconstructed baklava ice cream were incredible. The seafood platter, though, was overpriced for the amount you got.
