Athera Suites Mykonos

Athena was the clear star for us. She handled everything from the kitchen and reception to tour information and recommendations, all while being a genuinely lovely, attentive host. Breakfast was a full buffet of local foods, including yogurt, fruit, honey, cheese, jams, nuts and nut butters, pastries, breads, juices, eggs and fresh vegetables. Each morning you could also ask for freshly cooked dishes like pancakes, eggs or loukoumades, with no extra charge. Our spacious room was bright and tidy, with an unusually complete welcome kit, even toothbrushes. The plumbing and infrastructure were new, and housekeeping came daily with frequent towel changes. Rooms surround the infinity pool on a terrace with a gorgeous sea view. The downside is the uphill 20-minute walk into Mykonos town. Athera Suites suits you if you want a luxurious place to relax by the pool and value good food and privacy. It’s not for you if you want to be in the middle of the action, since the area is quiet.

The stay was calm and soothing, and the hotel wasn’t too crowded, which is great in Mykonos. The rooms looked just like the photos and were clean and cozy. The pool has a fantastic ocean view and is one of the best places to watch sunset on the island. Food was good and reasonably priced. You can walk into the city center in about 15 minutes, though the route has stairs. From arrival to departure everything went smoothly, with staff arranging our airport and port transfers so we didn’t have to worry. Athena was truly the best, and I really recommend booking here.

We felt at ease by the pool and during quiet evenings on the terrace, and the location was just far enough from the crowds to be relaxing while still making it easy to explore Mykonos. Each morning’s breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the staff offered helpful local tips and thoughtful touches throughout. The welcome was warm from the moment we arrived. Our suites were modern, spacious and very clean, with lovely design, beautiful views and a peaceful, private-retreat feel. The attention to both service and details was outstanding. For a mix of luxury, comfort and genuine hospitality, I highly recommend Athera Suites. We can’t wait to return.

I arrived light and walked from the airport to get my bearings, which took about half an hour. A friendly woman welcomed me and was available throughout my stay, sadly just one night, to help with anything I needed. I was traveling solo and felt very safe, and the short walk into town was easy for exploring. Breakfast was fresh, lovely and had lots of options. The room came with a liter of bottled water in the fridge, another cold 500 ml bottle at check-in, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, fresh towels, a pool towel and USB sockets. It was welcoming, modern, comfortable and gorgeous. I couldn’t have asked for more. I’ll definitely stay here again when I return. Thank you!
