Magic View Suites Mykonos

The staff were good and the location was great, but we had a really bad final experience with the hotel. The in-house taxi driver showed up 10 minutes after our agreed time, then ignored the maps and took much longer to reach the airport. Mykonos airport has no digital boarding passes or kiosks, so being made late was especially stressful. Back at the hotel, it was annoying to return to a hot room because staff switch off the air conditioning while you’re out. The hot water also shifted unpredictably from cold to scalding in the shower.

Double-check which room you’re getting before you book. The host uses photos of his best room to advertise all the listings, but what I received was completely different. I politely asked to cancel my four-night stay and said I’d leave after one night because the room wasn’t what had been shown. He snapped at me, told me to “get out of my office” and “go to your room,” as if I were a child. I’ve never been treated so rudely at a hotel or Airbnb. He was unprofessional and disrespectful, and I don’t think he knows how to treat guests. Avoid this place if you want basic honesty or respect.

A cute family-owned hotel in a quieter part of town, which was a huge plus for us. We had great views of Mykonos, including perfect sunsets from our room. Highly recommend!

I left after the first night, returned the key, and gave the host a chance to rent the place again. When I kindly asked for a small refund, he responded arrogantly and told me to “call the police” just because I said I would leave a review. He later called my review a “threat.” I had one of the most surreal and disappointing experiences with a host. The apartment I got didn’t match the pictures: the listing suggested honeymoon vibes, with a private balcony where you could relax in bed and look at the sea. In reality, people walked right in front of the balcony, so there was no privacy and I had to keep the curtains closed the whole time. The window behind the bed was fake, just a rock wall, so there was no natural light either. The host was unprofessional, disrespectful, and unwilling to take responsibility. I don’t recommend staying here unless you want to pay full price for a misleading listing and be treated like a problem for speaking up.
