Melangel

The views from our room were stunning, with downtown visible from the back patio and the sea from the front. The room was clean, organized, comfortable, and spacious even for our family of four, and the little kitchenette was a real plus. Armen and his wife were amazing hosts, and the hotel was within convenient walking distance of everything. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and we ate very well. Armen was incredibly helpful and accommodating. We highly recommend taking his private tour early in your stay to get to know the village. He showed us the beautiful places we wanted to see and took pictures of us at some of the island's famous sites. His pictures were better than ours! We felt like extended family and will definitely stay at Melangel again. Armen set such a high bar for the rest of our destinations this week. His hospitality is unsurpassable. We spent five nights at Melangel on our honeymoon and loved being Suzanna and Armen's guests. They were gracious from the start and treated us like family, helping with reservations, excursions, and all sorts of recommendations. The west-facing balcony gave us gorgeous sunsets, and the larger of their two rooms had a private backyard overlooking Mykonos town. The shore was just a five-minute walk away. The bed felt as comfortable as our own at home, and the sheets were soft and luxurious. Since we were on a three-week trip, the Bosche washing machine in the larger room was a godsend. It washed our clothes well and almost fully dried them. The wifi was very good and didn't time out or require a login. The price was great value, too. There isn't a single thing I'd change about the place. I couldn't recommend it enough and wouldn't hesitate to choose it again.

We were welcomed with a bottle of Perseco, and Armen and Suzanna couldn't have been more gracious. When we left an item behind, Armen arranged for it to reach our next destination, even though it was the weekend. Suzanna also personally took us to the port when other transportation wasn't available. The Melangel rooms were exceptionally clean, with modern, updated decor and very comfortable bedding. If you like cold air, the air conditioning can get really cold. Our sea view was everything we hoped for. It's centrally located near shopping, restaurants, and the Old Port. If you're going to Mykonos, this is the place to stay.
