Myconian Korali Relais & Chateaux Hotel

We had a really enjoyable, peaceful stay. The property is beautiful, the staff are very kind and welcoming, and the food and area were great. The room we chose was a little small, but it was still very clean.

This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had, and I would never return or recommend it. It was overpriced, badly managed, and nowhere near a 5-star standard. I genuinely question how this supposed luxury hotel is listed under RELAIS & CHATEAUX. The room was run-down and disappointing. Mirrors were dirty, housekeeping was careless, and the shower leaked every time, leaving the bathroom floor flooded. It felt more like a cheap old hotel than a luxury resort in Mykonos. Breakfast was just as frustrating: getting a slice of lemon for tea took five or six requests, and even simple things took forever. Service was terrible. Complaints by email went unanswered, though messages about airport transfers or extra charges got quick replies. Speaking with the manager seemed impossible. We were repeatedly told someone would call back, but nobody did, and the staff seemed unmotivated, unprofessional, and annoyed when guests asked for anything. They also mishandled our luggage. At first, they acted as if our suitcase had gone missing, and nobody knew where it was or took responsibility. After we’d finally checked in with our luggage already in the room, reception called to say “our suitcase would arrive shortly.” I asked which suitcase, since we already had our bags. It sounded like they might send someone else’s luggage to us. The whole thing was extremely strange and unprofessional.

The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from town, and our travel agent was right to recommend it. We’re so glad we stayed here. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and eager to help, breakfast had a nice variety, and the pool area was chic and relaxing, with a DJ playing good background music. Our sea-view room with an outdoor hot tub felt flawless, clean, and brand new. It was decorated in calming whites and soft blues, with the bed and cozy seating area facing the ocean. For our 25th anniversary, there was an espresso maker, chilled champagne, and a big box of chocolate truffles waiting. Even the towels smelled amazing! Dinner at Baos was a perfect anniversary meal. The dining room was elegant, the food delicious, and Maria knew the menu inside out and explained the choices in detail. The etched wine glasses were a lovely touch. This boutique hotel exceeded our expectations. We could go on and on, and highly recommend it!

It might be my favorite place I’ve ever stayed, and definitely the best in Greece. The staff were kind and attentive, and they kept bringing us complimentary bottles of some of the best wine I’ve had. The view was breathtaking, especially at sunset from Baos, the restaurant. It was a little too warm at that time of year to use the jacuzzi much, though I enjoyed it. Chora, also known as old Mykonos Town, is a short walk away, with shopping, food, and nightlife. I’d absolutely recommend staying here and would come back if I visit Mykonos again.
