We stayed just one night because of an early flight. The location is useful for that, close to the airport and reachable by bus. It's about 300 m from the stop and perhaps 500 m from the airport, so walking is doable. The room was basic but fine for a short stay, like many standard Greek rooms, and the houses look pretty from outside, like a traditional Greek village. Still, I wouldn't choose it for a longer visit. We booked on their website because the price was a little lower than on booking, after calling the day before to check and being told it was fine. We arrived at 8 pm in the dark and wind, with no outside light, and no one was there. They came after 40 minutes and three increasingly angry calls. The man who arrived let me talk to Georgia, who said they hadn't seen the website reservation and weren't expecting us. She apologized, and I understand mistakes happen. But I had called twice, and the woman who answered said her daughter was coming in two minutes each time, yet nobody came. If I hadn't called a third time, still waiting in the cold and dark and saying how angry I was, I don't think anyone would have shown up. That didn't make us feel welcome at all. There wasn't even a bottle of water in the room, so bring your own. Busy roads surround the property, so don't expect a quiet night. It's workable if you need to catch a plane and want to avoid Mykonos taxi prices, but I definitely wouldn't stay here for a relaxing holiday.

I booked this place for its airport proximity and value after my flight was cancelled. Maria was an absolutely lovely host, and made us feel very welcome after a stressful airport experience. The accommodation is older, but feels authentic and was reasonably priced for what we got. I was confused by the other reviews about the host.

The woman who greeted me around noon was lovely and let me leave my bags in the room before check-in. But the rest of the stay was awful. The place felt run-down, with a very large room full of old, rather depressing furniture. Most of the lamps didn't work, and there was no hot water, so I couldn't shower. There's no reception or anywhere to buy even a bottle of water. I don't think the owners stay at the villa overnight, so if something happens, good luck. I've stayed in better places for €50 a night.

We had a great stay at Villa Vasilis, and the hosts went out of their way to help us. The location is close to the airport but still private, and it wasn't too noisy. There's a bus stop right nearby for town or paradise beach. The accommodation is basic, and I would've liked a toaster or better kitchen facilities, but otherwise it was a great stay.

Maria and Vasilis were very friendly and helpful. Maria, Vasilis's daughter, picked us up at the harbor when we arrived by ferry, with no extra charge. Our guest house was in very good condition, with a new AC, three beds in one room, luggage space, a clean bathroom and toilet with no mold, and a small kitchen with a fridge. There's a line outside for drying clothes. The place is quiet, and a supermarket and ATM are a five-minute walk away. The local bus stop is about 30 meters from the property. I can definitely recommend it.
