Plati Beach

Sailing was great, with only one day of light winds, and the staff worked hard to keep everyone busy and entertained. The food and sailing made this the best Mark Warner trip so far for us. Breakfast starts early, with plenty to choose from, so we could enjoy the cool morning with coffee from the new bean-to-cup machines and a book on the terrace overlooking the bay. Dinner is served outdoors, with lots of choices each night and a BBQ grill for meat and veg. Gluten-free options are available, and they’ll make something specially if you ask. The gluten-free pasta is excellent!

We were a family of four with two toddlers, and the price was very fair. The hotel met European standards, with professional staff and excellent Wi-Fi. Our spacious-enough room had a beach view and was reasonably well maintained. It’s right by the beach and close to Myrina, and the breakfast had a wide range of choices. The layout felt well designed and could accommodate lots of guests without feeling crowded. We didn’t use the many services, such as water sports, tennis and the kids club, but they seemed well organized and run. The kids club was English-speaking only.

We had a lovely stay at the Village Hotel in Lemnos, thanks to the excellent hotel staff and Mark Warner reps. Marnie, Lauren, John and the other bar staff were fantastic, and the restaurant team gave great service. The food was excellent too. The dry-side activities were well planned and engaging, and I especially enjoyed Alice’s morning runs. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The room Wi-Fi wasn’t good, and it could sometimes be hard to get a road bike. Those were small issues in an otherwise fantastic holiday, with an amazing location and people.

There were more activities on offer than we could fit in, and the team really looked after us. The setting was beautiful, the food was great, and it made for a lovely family holiday. Mark Warner holidays runs the place, and its website has all the details.
