Heliotrope Hotels

The staff were kind and helpful, and breakfast was adequate. There’s a pool and the beach is close by, although you can’t get to the beach directly from the hotel. Our room felt old but was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The AC was noisy and looked worn, while riding the elevator had a rather nostalgic feel. The hotel is along the road to the airport.

The pool was spacious and relaxing, and breakfast had a great variety of tasty choices. Our room was very clean, with housekeeping keeping it spotless each day, and the view added to the calm feel. All the staff were polite and attentive. Rania at reception was especially kind and helpful. When my wife had a small accident, the lifeguard bandaged her foot. We also enjoyed the bar staff, especially one woman who was so warm that we ended up feeding cats together. We appreciated that Heliotrope Hotels is pet-friendly. We had a memorable honeymoon here and are grateful for the hospitality. I’d recommend Heliotrope Hotels for a cozy, relaxing stay with pets.

The reception ladies were really nice and gave great service, but the rest of the staff, including the lifeguards, were very poor. The hotel itself has a lovely location and good hygiene, yet I won’t return or recommend it because of the service. Staff, especially at the bar, were often on their phones, making drinks for themselves and going swimming as if they were on holiday. Meanwhile, orders took too long, the food wasn’t that good, dirty plates stayed on tables, and no one came to ask if we wanted to order. The pool bar only opens at 2pm, and you can’t order before then or bring food or drinks from another shop, so it feels like you can’t eat or drink anything before 2pm. There’s a very nice fish place right next to the hotel, though. I recommend eating there instead: the service is lovely and the food is fantastic, much better than at the heliotrope hotel. I told the staff I’d leave a bad review.

The breakfast was fresh, generous, and quite satisfying, and the location was handy for the airport, city centre, and some local beaches. The staff were friendly and did their best to make guests happy, so thank you to them. My room setup was less comfortable. The AC was mounted on the wall by the bed and blew straight at my face while I slept, which could easily make you catch a cold. Also, the bed blocked the balcony door from opening all the way, so I couldn’t get enough fresh air.
