Dr. J. Spon Apartment

It's in a very good spot, but the accommodation is badly run down. If you can put up with the drain smell, dirty rooms, and a half-broken bed, then fine. The bathroom door won't close, its hinges are rusty, and there are broken tiles and wobbly sockets. The sofa is dirty, and the fridge still had crumbs and obvious dirt from the previous guests. The balcony furniture is rusty and the awnings are black with mold. There are few kitchen utensils, and the bathroom has old tiles and fixtures from last century, with salts in the middle. The TV is no good, the decor is incoherent, and there are many other problems like these.

The apartment has plenty of space and is comfortable, and the location is good. But the equipment is very limited: no microwave, cutting knife or wooden spoon, and just 4-6 plates and 5 glasses. It could sleep 8 people, but there aren't enough dishes. We were also expected to leave the trash in the hallway, where it stayed for days. By day two, the stairwell stank. Maybe we could have taken the trash to the right place ourselves, if someone had been available to tell us where.
