We visited in December, so we couldn’t use the pool, but we loved our winter stay. This gem is spread across a beautiful rural valley, 2 km from town, and you need a car to get there. The rooms are lovely and have every comfort. The staff are kind, and breakfast was spectacular.

After a few busy weeks of travel, it was great to arrive at the Anthemion. We had the villa, which was beautiful, private, and very quiet, with our own patio and hot tub. On hot afternoons it was really more of a perfect cool tub. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location made it a short drive to great beaches and small towns around the bay. We’ll definitely stay again. Our one complaint was dinner on the first night. It was very pricey compared with restaurants in town and the nearby villages, and honestly wasn’t nearly as good.

The pool and dining area is small, which can make things challenging if you’re child free. Still, this was an absolutely fantastic property, and we’d definitely return. Service, food, and rooms were excellent. Breakfast could be better, especially the hot food, and a ceiling fan and TV in the bedroom would be ideal. A special mention for the chef, who is exceptional. The souvlaki and octopus were the best I tasted in two weeks around Greece, with food quality you’d expect from a fine dining restaurant. Well done, Anthemion!

The rooms were clean and spacious, and everything looked new and well cared for. This small family-run boutique hotel is also kept in excellent condition. The staff, especially the reception girls, were super friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. We’ll definitely come back.
