The bed was the hardest part of our stay. Both of us woke with sore backs, and sleeping on our sides left our hips and shoulders hurting. The room itself was nice, spacious, very clean, and had a great view from the balcony. It was also very quiet. We liked being a little outside town, about a 20-minute walk to the center and shops, then roughly five more minutes to the old town. There are four parking spaces, and the steep approach, stairs to every room, or steep driveway may be difficult for some, though they weren’t a problem for us. Construction next door in May 2025 brought early morning noise. The young man who checked us in was very rude and seemed to think we were foolish for not having or wanting a car. That’s a poor attitude for someone in hospitality, even if I don’t care what he thinks. The older gentleman we saw some of the time was delightful. We spent three painful nights here in May 2025.
