Carpe Diem Boutique Hotel

We loved how easy it was to get around from the hotel. In just a minute or two, we could be by the sea, at a restaurant or in a gelato shop. It’s right in Old Town, and we parked for free at the port and walked about 10 minutes to the hotel. The deck had a charming view, and the welcoming, helpful staff looked after us from check-in until we left. We spent three nights in a deluxe room in March. The room wasn’t large, though that’s common for European hotels, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The linens were the softest we experienced during all our time in Greece. Breakfast works a little differently: you place your order the night before. That suited us well, and the food was excellent with everything we needed. Being in the middle of old town also means hearing more city noise. If you’re looking for a quieter place, this may not be ideal. It’s just part of the location, not the hotel’s fault. I slept with earplugs and it wasn’t a problem.

The room was small but had everything we needed, and the big terrace with its amazing view made it feel like we weren’t missing space. We found Carpe Diem Hotel while browsing booking for a cosy place in Nafplio, and its position in the center of the old city, attractive rooms and breakfast caught our eye. Our arrival at 16h was easy thanks to their flexible arrival times, and we were welcomed warmly. The three women at reception were lovely, caring and always ready to help or offer advice about Nafplio and the surrounding area. Martina and Katharina especially added a lot to our stay with their attentiveness and recommendations. Breakfast was amazing and personal, and the women who prepared and served it were lovely. Our bed was made every day, and whenever we wanted coffee or a drink, we just went downstairs and asked. Carpe Diem and its wonderful team made this one of our most comfortable, high quality vacations. If we come back to Nafplio, we’ll stay here again and again.

It’s right by the water in the old town, so the location is hard to beat. This adorable boutique hotel has clean, modern rooms and staff who are super helpful and friendly.

Carpe Diem was just right for us. Our Suite was spotless and nicely decorated, the breakfast was delicious, and the thoughtful little touches were much appreciated. The staff were all exceptionally friendly, and the old town location is perfect. It has a lovely family-run feel and is clearly a well organised business that people care about. We couldn’t have picked a better place. Thank you!
