The host was lovely and attentive, and the hotel is close to pretty much everything. It’s also right next to the bus station. Our room faced it, so I worried about noise, but fortunately it was quiet. The room was large, with a bedroom plus a smaller living room with a couch. Both rooms had AC, which was a relief in 37°C heat.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. This cozy hotel is in a convenient spot in the center of Nafplio. You can park on nearby roads, which is not allowed in the old town center. There are two color-named rooms on each floor across three floors, and the top floor has just one room, called LOFT, with a pretty balcony looking over Kapodistrian square.

Our junior suite was on the third floor, looking over a mostly pedestrian square. It had a main bedroom and a good-sized sitting room with two twin sofa beds. The rooms were very spacious, and the staff were charming, which made our stay exceptional. Breakfast was comprehensive and served at a sister hotel a short walk away!

Verde house felt like a comfortable little home, full of character. It was clean, neat, and a really relaxing place to stay. Just keep in mind that you have to bring your bags up the stairs. We were on the first floor with one suitcase, so it was fine for us, though the steps are steep and could be tough on sore knees.
