Alea Apartments

Mama Maria and Margarita were so kind and helpful, and the whole family puts a remarkable amount of care into making guests feel at home. The morning breakfast basket was delicious, and the apartments are in a great location. Alea Apartments was an amazing experience, and I'd encourage everyone to stay here.

We left feeling at home. Alea really is a home away from home, and it was a lovely change to have such human connection in an age of digital experiences. Maria and Simos clearly put so much love into the place and their guests. We spent three nights here on a trip around the smaller Cyclades islands. Paros was our last stop, and we felt lucky to find Alea. Our room was spacious, with a kitchenette stocked with the essentials: toaster, kettle, pans, glasses, and cutlery. It would work well for a longer stay. The location is quiet and a little removed from Naousa's nightlife, yet the village is only a 10-minute walk or a few minutes by ride. There was a sea view from the lovely balcony and the bathroom was modern. We also liked the toiletries, including body cream, from OLIVE Era, a Greek organic beauty brand. Mamma maria welcomed us with a snack, and the breakfast used local products, each one explained with such pride. She let me choose a handmade necklace as a welcome gift. When we left, she gave us oregano and sage from her garden to take home, along with some beautifully hand-drawn pebbles. We now have a little piece of Alea in our homes in London and Tuscany. Every day began well with breakfast, which featured changing local dishes and specialties. The staff were extremely nice, and the service was great. The owners took time to tell us about the island's history and gave detailed suggestions for beaches and restaurants in different areas. They also kept checking that we were comfortable and had what we needed. We'd highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the island.

Cosy rooms in a Greek style, and more than 1000 board games to play for free. The setting is quiet, about a 10-minute walk from Naousa's bars and cafes. Staff are friendly and give useful, to-the-point recommendations for all kinds of plans. Good value for money.
