Lorenzo Studios and Suites Paros

The best thing about the place was the cleaning lady, who was excellent. The shower worked great, though it made a mess of the washroom, and Stelio’s, the convenience shop owner downstairs, is an absolute GEM of a human. Those positives didn’t make up for the stay at Lorenzo Studios. I’ve never slept on a worse bed in my 32 years. The mattress had no support at all, and was impossible to rest on. For €800 for 4 nights, the two flat, lifeless pillows felt fit for the trash, and the bathroom towels were rough as sandpaper, leaving me irritated. The so-called satellite TV had only 8 channels, all in Greek, with nothing useful for international guests. The listing promised an ocean view, but every window faced a concrete wall. There was no sunlight or scenery, just cement. The listing also didn’t mention the climb: the studios are on one of the highest points in Paros, up a steep hill and then 60 steps to the apartment. With luggage, that was a nightmare. Basic hospitality was missing too. The owner didn’t speak English, ignored messages, and hung up on me during check-in, which took 40 frustrating minutes. There was no warm welcome or attempt to communicate or accommodate us, just dismissiveness and rudeness. For the price, I expected comfort, honesty, and basic hospitality. None of those were there. Lorenzo Studios is a complete joke.
