The owner never appeared during our stay, even after we contacted him, and check-in and check-out were through a safety deposit box outside the property. The room was dirty and run down, with stained pillows and sheets, hair everywhere, peeling, dirty walls, a filthy kettle with obvious buildup and cups left dirty from previous breakfasts. The price felt outrageous for a place in such poor condition. I also felt there was no control over access to the room. The cleaning lady, or someone on her behalf, and the owner seemed to come and go without permission or warning, even though the door was locked. I don't know who was entering. My valuables were stolen, so I contacted a lawyer and reported it to Booking.com. I filed a complaint in Italy and hired a lawyer. The owner did nothing to resolve this. He first said to file a police report, then didn't follow through, which seemed contradictory for someone supposedly trying to understand what happened and find a solution. He also entered the room without consent and left notes everywhere, as other reviews have reported. I wonder why he didn't act to address the situation. Disgraceful in every way. I don't recommend this property or its owner.

The owner was very kind, and the price was affordable. Our room had a wonderful view across the sea and was centrally located in Naoussa. It could easily fit five people, with a bunk bed, a double bed and another bed. Without a doubt, it deserves all five stars!

We were three adults, booked in April for an August stay. On arrival the owner let us leave our bags while the room was being cleaned, which was fine. But once we came back, it was a room, not an apartment: a double bed, a small bed, three chairs for our clothes, a mini-fridge and a bathroom. No balcony, and only space for one chair. There wasn't even a closet. We had backpacks, so we weren't asking for much, and the room wasn't especially clean. The air conditioning was left running while we went out for a drink because the room was like an oven. When we got back, there was a note telling us to switch it off, saying electricity costs money in Greece, unlike in Italy. The cleaning and towel changes were also very poor, even though we asked almost every day, and the price was exorbitant for that level of service. I heard the girls in the room below had such a bad room that Booking had to relocate them. We tried to be accommodating, and the owner should be grateful for that. I wouldn't let even my worst enemy stay here. If I could, I'd rate it zero. FAILED. Update, 05/09/2022: Dear Owner, you know who we are. Our stay was about 15 days ago, not nearly a year ago. One of the guests staying with me made the booking through Booking and left a review there. It would be more appropriate to apologize and fix the problem than to say it isn't true because you can't find a reservation under that name. Not everyone has time to write reviews, so I wrote this one for my friend.

The only thing I liked was the location, which is very good. Everything else about our stay was extremely bad: the room was poor for what it offered, and the people were rude and unhelpful. We had booked through Booking five months ahead, with no advance payment. Two weeks before our dates, the owner said he wouldn't hold the room unless we paid a deposit. We paid, and then he cancelled the Booking reservation for reasons I don't know. When we finally got to the hotel, we were told to wait another hour and a half after check-in time because the room hadn't been cleaned. We were exhausted and sleepy. When we returned, we were put in the downstairs room because, he said, our suitcases wouldn't fit in the upstairs one. It was small, with a double bed and two bunk beds. I read other negative reviews from Cretan guests, and the owner replies that he has no connection with that person. I'll upload a photo of my friends in the room too.
