Apartments Naxos Camping

We were comfortable here, and the terrace is spacious. The value for the price is decent, but the apartment was short on kitchen utensils, with just one fork, for example. There’s no shower screen, and the wind blows sand everywhere.

The room itself was quite clean, and getting to the center by car took literally five minutes. Those were the only real positives for us. It was a simple, no-frills room and quite small, with plenty of spiders, ants, and other insects. It needs disinfecting. There were no lights throughout the property, though the airport is right next door and, surprisingly, we didn’t hear any noise. We booked after seeing positive reviews, and the price for August 15 on Naxos was somewhat, I repeat, somewhat economical. The gentleman at reception was very kind and helpful, but the place looked badly neglected when we arrived. We left after an hour. There were normal things in the room.

The photos don’t match reality. The complex is attractive but seems left to itself, with poor lighting outside and inside the rooms. There’s no light at the parking entrance, which is on a very dangerous island road. We heard lots of noise from the road and the nearby airport. The two bedrooms in the four-person ground-floor unit were each about nine square meters. Neither had shutters, and the middle one had shaded screens. The room with two single beds had space for only one bedside table, and its door opened halfway. The double room had a small wardrobe and a bedside table under the mirror. There was nowhere for four people’s belongings except their suitcases. No clothesline, three different cups, and two glasses, plus many other things I can’t describe. We left, but these are the places that advertise fifty square meters and give you a chicken coop for fairly high rent. The swimming pool is inside the campsite but in another area about a hundred meters away.
