I spent months trying to get a wedding date sorted with Maria Angelí, who was managing the estate. Back in October 2022, she said she’d send a quote based on the guest numbers I’d emailed and messaged her. When I followed up, she explained she had a health issue and would get back to me when she was feeling better. I understood and waited. A month later, I called again and could hear music in the background, as if she was at a restaurant, but she repeated that she was unwell. I explained that I also wanted to baptize my little boy and needed to lock in a date soon, since I was arranging a wedding and baptism from a distance and finding it very stressful. Months later, she finally told me she had no dates available for 2023. By then, I’d used up so much time waiting that I hadn’t managed to book another venue in Naxos. My partner and I decided to have the baptism in Athens in 2023 and the wedding in 2024 instead. I emailed her again in 2022 to ask about a 2024 date, but got no reply. When I called, she said she wasn’t going to check for dates because she didn’t intend to organize my wedding at her estate, and said it very sharply. I wish I’d read the reviews before spending so much time on this and delaying my wedding plans. It felt rude and unprofessional. I hope anyone considering this place reads the reviews first and doesn’t waste time the way I did.
